How we use your data

This page explains, in plain language, what we collect when you use the consultation, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and how to withdraw. It is written to meet Thailand's PDPA and the EU's GDPR.
What we collect
Only what you choose to tell us. To start a chat we ask only for your consent — no name and no personal details. Inside the chat you may optionally add an email (so we can tell you when a counsellor replies), a rough stage of pregnancy (as a range), which country you are arriving from, and your rough timing. We also keep the messages you exchange with your counsellor, which are encrypted. If you decide to proceed and ask us to book a clinic, we share only what that clinic needs for your appointment. We do not collect marketing trackers, and card payments are handled by our payment provider — we never see your card details.
Why we collect it, and who we share it with
We use your details for one purpose: to give you a confidential consultation about safe, legal abortion in Thailand and, if you choose, to refer you and help book a licensed clinic. Your conversation is seen only by the counsellor who replies. We share details with a clinic only when you ask us to arrange an appointment, and only what that appointment needs. We do not sell your data or share it for advertising.
How long we keep it
We keep your consultation and messages for 6 months and then delete them automatically. If you withdraw earlier, we delete them when you ask.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your data, or withdraw your consent, at any time. Email privacy@abortionthai.com and we will action it. If you are in the EU/EEA you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
