Is abortion legal in Thailand?
Yes. Under Thai law, abortion is available on request up to 12 weeks of pregnancy, and from 12 to 20 weeks after counselling. This applies whether or not you live in Thailand.
Do I need to be a Thai citizen or resident?
No. Citizenship and residency are not required. Most people who come for care are travelling from abroad — you can arrange care as a visitor.
Is there an upper time limit?
