Yes. Abortion is legal in Thailand. This guide explains the law in plain language so you know where you stand before you travel. It is information, not medical or legal advice for your own situation — your counsellor will go through the specifics with you.
Thai law allows abortion on request up to 12 weeks of pregnancy, and from 12 to 20 weeks after counselling. Beyond 20 weeks it is permitted only on specific medical grounds.
